With a crowd of over 70,000 expected to fill the Exiles stadium over the three days of the 37th Dubai Rugby Sevens, and thousands more across the world to tune in to watch the games, Aggreko, the world leader in the provision of temporary power and temperature control services, has the crucial role of powering the hugely successful annual tournament.
“This is the eighth consecutive year that Aggreko power generators, and more recently its temperature control equipment, has supported the annual sporting event which has emerged as one of the highlights of Dubai’s social calendar” said Julian Ford, Marketing and Business Development Director, Aggreko.

For the upcoming event, which is scheduled to take place from November 30 to December 2, Aggreko will provide a 6.9 MW power package, to be delivered for essential functions, such as the main screen, broadcast, security and lighting for the tents. The company’s main areas of operation will include the Rugby Village, the VIP tent, where Aggreko is also providing a 2.8 MW cooling package, and the stage – the venue of the rock concert on the final day.
