Authorities in Afghanistan have released a Yemeni citizen who was arrested by the north-coalition forces after the Taliban had been defeated, the 26 September weekly reported.
The paper said that Yemeni national Akram al-Gherbani was released when Yemen's embassy in Islamabad had intervened through coordination with the embassy of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in Afghanistan.
The paper added that Sana’a had received al-Gherbani, appreciating efforts exerted by the UAE embassy and Afghan authorities in Kabul. (Albawaba.com)
