ALBAWABA- In a devastating incident, a bus carrying 53 farmworkers overturned in central Florida, resulting in eight fatalities and at least 40 injuries. 

The collision occurred in Marion County, north of Orlando, when the bus collided with a truck. 

The bus swerved off the road, crashing through a fence and landing on its side in a field. 

The workers were being transported to Cannon Farms in Dunnellon for watermelon harvesting. 

Cannon Farms, a family-owned operation, expressed condolences on social media and announced closure for the day to honor the victims.
