ALBAWABA - Yemen is disparate for aid. This is the message being put out by the UNHCR refugee agency because of the war and civil war the country has been subjected to.

Today, at least 7.3 million in the country are in need of shelter and non-food assistance, agency officials state as reported by the Anadolu agency.

The UNHCR Yemen office adds 75 percent of these that require help are women and children.

An exhibition is being organized on 9 November in the Yemeni capital of Sanaa It is aimed at "presenting solutions to the soaring shelter needs."

A fact-checker on Yemen states 4 million Yemenis were displaced since 2015, 2.3 million children under age 5 are malnourished and consequently 400,000 are at a serious risk of dying. There are also 16.2 million people facing acute hunger and 5 million are steps away from famine.

The Turkish-based news agency puts it this way: A Saudi-led coalition aimed at reinstating the Yemeni government has worsened the situation, causing one of the world’s worst man-made humanitarian crises with 233,000 people killed, nearly 80% or about 30 million needing humanitarian assistance and protection, and more than 13 million in danger of starvation, according to UN estimates.
