Today, at least 7.3 million in the country are in need of shelter and non-food assistance, agency officials state as reported by the Anadolu agency.
The UNHCR Yemen office adds 75 percent of these that require help are women and children.

An exhibition is being organized on 9 November in the Yemeni capital of Sanaa It is aimed at "presenting solutions to the soaring shelter needs."

The Turkish-based news agency puts it this way: A Saudi-led coalition aimed at reinstating the Yemeni government has worsened the situation, causing one of the world’s worst man-made humanitarian crises with 233,000 people killed, nearly 80% or about 30 million needing humanitarian assistance and protection, and more than 13 million in danger of starvation, according to UN estimates.
