The director of the Algerian national Library, Amine Zaoui, and the new president of the National Trade Union of Book Editors (Snel), Mohamed Tahar Guerfi, jointly presented the broad guidelines for the fifth edition of Algeria’s National Book Fair. This event is scheduled to take place from May 4 to May 13, at the national Algerian Library.
Liberte Algerie reports that this year’s fair will host about 50 publishing houses, including a number of key international publishing houses such as Mouqadimat (Morocco), Naqd and La Culture (Algeria), El Fijo Tiempo (Spain) Les lettres and Al fikr al moassir (Lebanon), Points de vue (Egypt), Qantara (of the Arab world Institute of Paris) and many others.
The event will also include a two-day of open discussion (May 10 and 11) on dialogue and tolerance, the problems of coexistence and critic thought of citizens.
