$30bn Ant-aging market set for major expansion in the Middle East

The first annual International Congress in Aesthetic, Anti-Aging Medicine & Medical Spa (ICAAM) Middle East is set to take place in Dubai this autumn.

IIR Middle East, the organisers of Arab Health are collaborating with EuroMediCom, the organiser of Anti-Aging Medicine events in Europe to introduce this landmark exhibition to the region. The co-organisers have revealed that the event will be dedicated to all aspects of this fast growing field.

“The rapid growth of this market in the Middle East region created the demand for a platform where professionals and industry experts can network and showcase their products. We are delighted to bring together leaders in the Anti-Aging industry at this premier event,” said Sietske Meerloo, Marketing Manager at IIR Middle East. “Because there is such a rise in demand for aesthetic and anti-aging products and procedures it’s essential for companies to put their brands forward and stay ahead of the competition. By bringing this exhibition to the Middle East, international firms will be able to do that,” she added.

The figures associated with the anti-aging market are staggering. The global industry is already estimated to be worth around $30 billion, and analysts estimate the sector is set to be worth more than $100 billion dollars by 2010. The bulk of this revenue increase is being directly linked to an unprecedented growth in the sector’s consumer base; market research indicates consumers are becoming more interested in anti-aging products and procedures at an earlier age.

The Middle East conference will discuss the latest cutting edge diagnostics, treatments and technologies and hosts live demonstrations and interactive workshops. The organisers are expecting many industry leaders will use the event to launch their latest range of innovative products.

“The anti-aging market is a constantly growing sector due to the increasing demand of the population to look and feel younger. In this multi-billion dollar global industry, many companies dedicate huge budgets to the research and development of new products and services that can be brought to market successfully,” said Christophe Luino, General Manager of Euromedicom. “ICAAM Middle East will showcase all these aspects from this medical field.

“It’s important for those involved in this field to be aware of all the latest products, protocols, and treatments coming onto the market. It’s even more crucial for companies to keep up to date with current legislation covering the industry,” he added.

The inaugural International Congress in Aesthetic, Anti-Aging Medicine & Medical Spa Middle East will be held 29, 30 November and 1 December 2008 at Al Bustan Rotana Hotel Dubai.
