The Ministry in charge of the Moroccan Community Residing Abroad will organize the second edition of the Raid of the Expatriates from August 15 until August 21, 2005. Pointing out that the first edition of the Raid was a great success, the organizers of the event have noted that they want to perpetuate the spirit of this event by setting it up as an annual event. <i>Yabiladi</i> reports that the purpose of the second edition is to encourage the Moroccans living abroad to contribute to the development of their country by investing in projects that require technology and know-how. The venues of the second edition will be Agadir, Taroudant, Ouarzazate, Kalaat Me gouna, Tineghir, Errachidia, Midelt, Azrou, Ifrane, Meknes and Sale.
