Violent clashes erupted between Bedouins and peasants in the south Syrian city of Suwaida’, leaving ten people dead and more then thirty seven injured, some seriously, before the security forces intervened later on to stop the clashes which were triggered by a misunderstanding over grazing areas.
Witnesses said that heads of tribes and along with security officers attempted to contain the conflict, whose roots go back to early 1970s.
Clashes took place in the Raha village then grew to reach other areas, said the witnesses.
