A conference on “the role of criticism in the promotion of the Arab culture”, organized by the Tunisian Academy of Sciences, Literature and Art (Beďt El Hikma), will be held from Monday March 14 until Thursday March 17.
<i>La Presse</i> reports that several university professors, critiques and researchers from Tunisia and Saudi Arabia will participate in the event. The main themes of the event will be the fundamental values of criticism in the Arab world, the interaction between the criticism and art, the analysis and functions of criticism and the current situation of short story and poetry in Tunisia and Saudi Arabia, as well as socio-cultural exchanges between two countries and the literary criticism in Tunisia during first half of the 20th century.
