Mohammed V Theater is going to host next month (June 18) a dance spectacle by the Spanish Blanca Li group, titled "Al Andalus". The spectacle, which will be performed in Rabat by the initiative of the French Institute of Rabat, is composed of four ballet dances titled Promenade, Canciones, Populares, Silhouette and Amour Sorcier; all related to Andalusia, the country of origin of the choreographer.
Blanca Li, a choreographer, director and dancer, was born in Grenade, Spain. She became a gymnast in the national team of Spain at the age of 12. When she was 17 she entered the Martha Graham School in New York, and studied there for five years. On her return to Spain, she established her first group, which was selected to take part in the World Fair of Seville. In 1992, she moved to France and 6 years later, reports EMarrakech, she established the Blanca Li Choreographic Center.
