‘mbc Persia’ brings global movies to Farsi speaking movie enthusiasts 24/7 blockbusters with full Farsi subtitles

on Nilesat and Arabsat starting July 9 2008 at 1130 GMT

 

mbc Group announced the launch of ‘mbc Persia’ its newest Free-To-Air Satellite TV channel subtitled in Farsi. The new movie channel starts broadcasting on the 9th of July 2008 at 1130 GMT / 1530 UAE and offers the best in global movies around the clock from a wide range of blockbusters of all genres such as comedy, action, drama, romance and others.

 

“Movies represent a universal language that transcends geographic boundaries,” said Tim Riordan, Group TV Director, mbc Group. ”We’re all very excited about mbc Persia because it will be the first channel of its kind to schedule, package and subtitle this kind of premium content specifically for the Farsi speaking family audience.” 

 

mbc Persia transmits on both Nilesat and Arabsat, targeting the growing Farsi speaking community across the region, to offer them a wide range of movies for all ages and tastes.
