Major General Mansour al-Issawi , Egypt's Minister of the Interior, on Tuesday spoke about the plan to secure the trial of ousted President Hosni Mubarak and his two sons. The trial is scheduled to be held on Wednesday, in the lecture hall of the Police Academy in Cairo.

The plan includes securing the trial in three stages. The first one will be to ensure the defendants during their movement out of jail until accessing the Police Academy. The security measures will include the employment of more than 8000 soldiers and officers who will be supported by 200 officers and soldiers from the armed forces. Issawi confirmed that there will be coordination with the armed forces during the transfer of Mubarak to a military plane. The aircraft will land at the academy complex.

Issawi said that he fully agreed with the call to Mubarak to attend the trial hearing. According to him, special arrangements were taken in the courtroom and a place was allocated for a bed if Mubarak needs it.

Judicial sources ruled out that Mubarak will enter the courtroom on his bed.
