Dr. Mohamed Fathallah, Sharm el-Sheikh hospital director, who accompanied the ousted Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak to the courtroom, said after the adjournment of the trial to August 15 that Mubarak's condition was "very stable and he has not seen any deterioration." According to him, the stress of the former president "rose" during the session, but it returned to normal levels afterwards.
Interior Ministry sources confirmed that the former leader was moved to the presidential wing of the country's World Medical Center, in order to facilitate the securing measures. They added that this wing is directed to prominent figures. It is reported that the occupancy rate at the Medical Center does not exceed 20%.
Maj. Gen. Mansour Issawi, the Egyptian Minister of the Interior, conveyed the police and the army secured the transferring process of Mubarak to the Medical Center which is located along the Cairo - Ismailia Desert Road. Al-Issawi hailed the security forces for their performance earlier in the day to secure the arrival of Mubarak from Sinai to the Police Academy in Cairo.
