According to press reports, Hizbullah has prepared a plan to take control over Beirut. This plan will be implemented in the "zero hour," say in the event an indictment is issued by the Special Tribunal for Lebanon. It is expected to accuse Hizbullah or "elements within the group" for the assassination of former Premier Rafik Hariri in February 2005. Hizbullah refused to deny or confirm the news following request from A-sharq al Awsat newspaer,, saying that "everyone knows that the situation in Lebanon is very worrying because of the failure of all the chances so far. Meanwhile, Lebanese security agencies gathered information according which Hizbullah, Amal Movement and other forces allied with Syria have held intensive discussions to coordinate the plan to take control of Beirut and the road to the south and neutralizing other Christian and Sunni forces. ccording to this information, Beirut will be divided to three areas.
