Syrian state media claimed that the Syrian army shot down an Israeli fighter plane and drone Tuesday. Israel quickly denied the claims. But the story didn’t end there. Famed Syrian Al Jazeera presenter and noted critic of the Assad regime Faisal al-Kasim saw an opportunity to troll the Syrian military when he heard the news.
Yesterday, al-Kasim posted what he claimed to be the Israeli jet shot down by Syria to his Twitter page @kasimf.

Photo of the Israeli plane downed by Assad’s army yesterday in Quneitra (Syria).
The joke is clear. Seemingly unconvinced by Syria’s claims, al-Kasim claimed that the Israeli jet Syria says it shot down was actually a paper plane.
Many tweeters found the joke funny, and similar pictures of a paper plane with an Israeli flag on it has been circulating Twitter too.
