If you are a fan of scuba diving and underwater worlds and are living or visiting Dubai, then this article will introduce you to a piece of heaven: Deep Dive Dubai.

Even though a visitor to Dubai can enjoy a plunge in a number of different spots around the city, taking the chance to dive in Deep Dive Dubai is a whole other experience.

Taking a dive in this spot is a very unique experience since it gives diving enthusiasts the opportunity to explore a whole sunken city while underwater.

Deep Dive Dubai

Diving is not a new practice for the United Arab Emirates. The GCC country along with some of its neighbors on the Gulf has a long history of exploring pearls underwater, making it one of the oldest and most authentic activities in the UAE's history. Hence, opening the Deep Dive Dubai center near downtown Dubai is such a big event for the country.

The facility is so far the deepest pool in the world and was only opened in July 2021, stealing the title from Poland's Deepspot which was inaugurated in December 2020.

What is unique about Deep Dive Dubai?

Deep Dive Dubai gives you the chance to dive at a depth of 169.9 feet (60.02 meters). The area often referred to as "the sunken city" goes as deep as 18 stories under the surface, making exploring it such an enjoyable and exciting mission for divers.

The facility gives an extraordinary scenery of the underwater world to people who either love to swim through the sunken city of Deep Dive Dubai by themselves or those who prefer to explore the first 12 meters without getting wet, thanks to large windows that have been designed specifically for this purpose.

Using the word "sunken city" to describe Deep Dive Dubai is not an overstatement. As it actually features a whole apartment, a car parking garage, a staircase, in addition to a streetscape.

For safety measures, 56 different cameras have been installed all over the diving area, to help divers feel secure as they are monitored by experts throughout the whole experience.

Divers at the facility must be at least 10 years old.

Deep Dive Dubai Location

The Deep Dive Dubai facility is located about 15 minutes away from Dubai Downtown, in Nad Al Sheba.

Water and Technology

At the Deep Dive Dubai pool, divers do not have to worry about the water temperature regardless of the season as the water is maintained at 30 degrees celsius all year long.

To ensure a perfect experience for divers who choose to explore this Deep Dive Dubai sunken city, the project has included several technological tools to ensure that water is filtered every six hours through a special filtration system that utilizes siliceous volcanic rock, NASA-developed filter technology, and UV radiation.
