A Cairo appeals court has convicted Egyptian folk singer Shabaan Abd Al Raheem to a jail sentence of one year and a fine of 250 thousand Egyptian pounds for not paying his due taxes.
The court stated that the fine Shabaan will pay is the amount
he owes in taxes for concerts he held throughout the past year.
