Prominent Syrian actor Samer Al Masri has denied circulating rumors that he is working on a new musical project with the production company ‘Rotana’. Rumors had it that Samer had come to an agreement with ‘Rotana’s’ general manager, Slaem Al Hindi, on releasing a new song.
Samer said in an interview with the internet website MBC.net, that he is against entering the music industry despite all its attractions and it is impossible for him to present a song without it being part of a television drama. He added that it is possible for him to present a song that is part of a role in a drama, and he is also willing to sing patriotic songs to show his devotion to Syria, which he did in the past.
The actor said that after the song he presented in his recent television drama “Malik Al Taxi Abu Janti” (King of the taxi Abu Janti) he has received numerous offers from different music production companies, but turned them all down. Samer revealed that he will begin filming the second part of the drama “Abu Janti” and added that none of the cast members will be changed.
