Egyptian singer Muna Abd Al Ghani will return to the music industry after a resignation that lasted 13 years and after her wearing the Islamic headdress Hijab. Muna plans on releasing a new album that features 10 songs all about the ethics, traditions and values that society lacks.

According to the internet website MBC.net, Muna stated that her return to singing does not mean she will be singing romantic or light songs, but will only sing songs that have real meaning and may make a difference. She added that she wants to send out messages to people through the album that will make one reevaluate their attitudes and the songs are a mixture of social and religious songs.

Muna refused to reveal the title of the album, which is scheduled to be in stores during the holy month of Ramadan. Muna stated that she will personally fund the production of the album, and there are a number of production companies that have offered to distribute the album around the Arab world.

Muna also revealed that she is currently reading a number of scripts for different television dramas, which she will take part in during the coming Ramadan season.
