Singers and other celebrities in Egypt are saddened by the sudden death of famous song poet Majdi Al Najjar. The artist esteemed by many passed away after experiencing a heart attack. Majdi was famous for writing songs for the most popular singers around the Arab world.
According to Sayidaty.net, Egyptian superstar Amr Diab's “Matkhafeesh” (Don’t be Afraid) and “Ana Mish Had’af” (I will not be Weak) were both written by Majdi, as well Asala Nasri's popular song “Mabaqash Ana” (It Wouldn’t be Me).
Majdi also wrote songs for Syrian singer Mayada Al Hinawi, Lebanese superstar Wael Kfoury, Egyptian Baha Sultan, Angham, Ghada Rajab, Layla Ghufran, the late Hassan Al Asmar and Amir Muneeb among many others.
Condolences for the late poet will be held at his home in Cairo.
