Fairuz re-awakens in time to give Easter a musical blessing by introducing an old classic revived to commemorate the Resurrection.

Especially for Easter, music director Rima Al Rahbani, has released a hymn-video, performed by her famous mother Lebanese legend Fairuz, late Saturday night on the eve of the Eastern Church's Easter.

Rima Al Rahabani shot the re-formatted hymn entitled "God is With Us", composed years ago by the Rahabani brothers, Assi and Mansour. Performed repeatedly over the years by Fairuz, it has today been spun and re-released at the Mar Elias Shawy monastery for the occasion of Easter, which is currently being celebrated by Christians around the Middle East

Rima Al Rahabani unveiled the re-vamped edition of the hymn at dawn on Easter Sunday via Fairuz's YouTube channel.
Against the background choir chanting the refrain "Because God is with us", the song's virtue rests on Fairuz's unique voice (the same voice that has been dubbed the "neighbor of the moon" in Arab circles, more aptly 'cellestial' for Easter time).
