ALBAWABA - One person was killed, and several others were wounded in U.S. airstrikes on northwest Iran, the country's state media reported Monday morning.
"One person was martyred, and several others were injured in a terrorist and aggressive American attack on an area southwest of Tabriz on Monday morning," said Majid Farshi, head of crisis management of East Azerbaijan province, quoted by state news agency IRNA.
It is worth noting that the U.S. intensified its attacks on Iran on Sunday night, U.S. President Donald Trump said.
On the other hand, the U.S. military announced that one service member was killed on Saturday after an Iranian attack in northern Iraq. On Friday, Tehran attacked an American base in Jordan, leading to the killing of two U.S. soldiers and leaving another missing.
Today, the Kuwaiti army announced that the country's air defenses have intercepted drones launched by Iran.
According to local media, the General Staff of the Armed Forces said its air forces were responding to "hostile" drone threats as sirens sounded several times across the country.
Additionally, the army assured people that explosion sounds heard by the public were the result of air defense systems intercepting targets.
Bahraini Ministry of Interior further called citizens and residents to remain calm and head to the nearest safe place
