Eros Group awarded Specialist Retail Distributor of the Year

Eros Group, the sole distributor of world-renowned brands Samsung, Hitachi, Linksys, Candy & TCL and one of the leading players in consumer electronics, telecom, and allied multi-products in the Middle East, has been awarded at the esteemed Middle East Retail Academy (MERA) 2011 Awards in the Specialist Retail Distributor of the Year category. 

The MERA Awards identify the best-in-class retailers and distributors in the region. A total of 30 awards were presented during the Gala Dinner, which took place in association with DCC MEA (Digital Consumer Channel – Middle East & Africa) in Fujairah, UAE, on Wednesday May 18th. The criteria for selection was based on successful channel management strategy, excellent inventory management, margin potential, co-marketing schemes, merchandising activity, product training and customer support.

Launched in 2008, MERA Awards create a clear and transparent platform to recognise excellence in the region’s consumer electronics and ICT channel, with awards for vendors, distributors and retailers. The Retailer Selection Committee is made up of the region’s leading retailers who assist the organizers to decide on the pre-selection of the five nominees for each vendor category award as well as selecting the individual award winners.
