Controversial Egyptian director Enas Al Dughaidi has nominated prominent Egyptian actress Yusra for the leading role in her upcoming film “Al Raksa Al Akheera” (The Last Dance), alongside Mahmoud Hamida.

Yusra has expressed her enthusiasm about taking part in the film, in which she will play the role of a singer. Enas refused to give out any further details, stating that filming will begin after the holy month of Ramadan.

Yusra had previously declined an offer by Enas to take part in another film “Saideh Athra” (A Virgin Woman). The actress explained that she was preoccupied with the filming of her upcoming television drama “Imra’a Adieh” (An Ordinary Woman), in addition to working on her upcoming music album.

Enas has nominated Egyptian actor Hisham Salim for the leading male role, and young actress Muna Shalabi for a supporting role in “A Virgin Woman.”

The film portrays a single woman who refuses to get married, concerned it will interfere with her path to success, and she subsequently begins to have affairs with different men.

The Egyptian Censorship Committee surprisingly approved the film, which depicts how husbands view their wives, and how they are prone to have affairs with their female friends, in turn denying their own wives basic rights.
