The enamoured coupled forgot about the cameras as they put on a very amorous display while posing for photographers outside the glittering event.
Gigi looked sensational in a black gown, which featured a sheer, lace and sequined asymmetrical neckline, and thigh-high slit and gold buckle details.
The in-demand model wore her long blond hair in a slick ponytail and kept her hair minimal.
Gigi wore several midi and normal rings on her both hands, and carried a glittering clutch.
Her musician beau donned a black double-breasted suit with a open-neck white shirt, teaming the dapper look with a beige suede hat and smoking slippers with a sailboat embroidered on one, and an anchor on the other.
The pair, who have been dating on and off for a couple of years, arrived at the Oscars viewing party hand in hand.
Later they also posed hand-in-hand for a photo posted on Cody's Instagram account, showing the pair's intertwined hands and the singer's place card on the table.
Cody and Gigi have been inseparable since their most recent reconciliation in November.
TMZ reported this week that Simpson splashed US$1.18 million (or just over AU$1.5 million) on a luxury two bedroom townhouse in West Hollywood for himself and Gigi.
According to the entertainment news site, an anonymous real estate source claims the 1,600 sq. ft place was picked up by the pop star recently.
Along with its top floor office, the recently renovated contemporary home, built in 2000, also features a generous living room, family room, dining area, three bathrooms and double garage.
The luxury townhouse also boasts four outdoor patios and a rooftop deck with sprawling views of the city.
The property features custom maple cabinetry, stainless-steel appliances and plush finishing.
It seems the You Tube star bought the 'condo' in the gated complex for US$70,000 less than the asking price, with the place listed on the marked for US$1.25 million.
Public records show the property was last sold in 2012 for US$885,000, meaning the owner still made a tidy profit on the home.
It's thought that the singer's model girlfriend Gigi Hadid will also inevitably stay there.
The 19-year-old face of Aussie swimwear label, Seafolly, currently lives with her parents in Malibu, making Cody's place a little more convenient after events in town.
