Hello iTune!
For the first time in iTunes's history, Arab TV and film content is now available for purchase on Apple’s online store.
Fourty four series and featrues were added by Jordan-based producer and distributor Arab Telemedia, who said that it "decided to launch the content on iTunes in the wake of research that showed a large proportion of Arab drama fans were engaging with other content on iTunes," according to TBI Vision.
Fadi Al Shwaihat, COO Arab Telemedia said: “This is a production company with high-value video content. It’s a perfect first step to extend its presence on a platform like iTunes Store,” said Karel van der Flier, CCO NEP, the tech firm handling the iTunes launch for the Arab prodco.
You'll be able to access and purchase the exciting content starting June 6 of this year, which happens to be the first day of Ramadan - AKA the TV series marathon season in the Middle East.
