Prominent Algerian singer Warda stated that she refuses to comment on recent remarks by prominent Egyptian musician Salah Al Sharnoubi, who said that Warda should seriously consider resigning from her singing career.
Salah had stated that Warda’s voice is no longer as strong and powerful as it was in the past and in order for her to maintain her place among the great stars she should quit her career.
According to the internet website MBC.net, Warda said that Salah is free to speak his opinion and she will not create disputes over his statements. She added that a long history of working together and friendship unites her with Salah and she has been accustomed to all kinds of criticism both positive and negative.
The singer denied rumors that Salah made his statements after she refused to work with him on her recent album stating that such rumors are mere nonsense.
