Lebanese singer Wael Kfoury arrived in Toronto, Canada a few days ago to begin his Canadian tour, much anticipated by the Arab community there. The tour began Thanksgiving Day and ran until November 26.

According to the London based Elaph, after the tour Wael headed back to Lebanon where he is scheduled to hold two concerts on December 1 and 2.

Regarding his concert plans for the upcoming Muslim holidays and New Years Eve, Wael’s business manager stated that a final decision has yet to be made.

The Canadian tour was organized by Talal Ghazawi, owner of ‘Laialina Entertainment’ and Fadi Abu Assi, owner of ‘Golden Star Production, and took the singer to Windsor, Toronto, Montreal, and Ottawa.

Recently, Kfoury cancelled several performances in Tunisia as a result of the war between Israel and Lebanon.  The singer was to take part in several festivals in Tunisia, along with a number of Lebanese singers.

On a different note, Wael allowed the press to photograph him and a young woman Rima Khoury, daughter of a prominent Lebanese tycoon, hand in hand at a party. In the past he has made every effort to keep private matters away from the public eye.

The couple sat near to each other, whispering and laughing the entire evening. Many have interpreted the singer’s actions as a signal that he is ready to publicly announce his engagement.

Wael’s family revealed the singer is finally ready to get engaged.  His parents said their son’s year long relationship with Rima has given new meaning to his life.
