Saudi singer Waed has caused controversy after putting in her two cents worth about the rights of women in the Kingdom.

The star made the comments on the popular entertainment show 'Nawarat', saying that she agreed with the Saudi law that forbids women from driving.

She said that Saudi women should be 'treated like queens', and spared the harassment that follows those who do take the risk of driving.

The remarks angered Saudi women, particularly because Waed now lives in Lebanon where - in an un-queenly manner - she apparently opts to drive herself around.

Saudi's have hit back at the star saying that her comments are a sign of loyalty to the Kingdom's elite class who she regularly entertains with private performances. They say that Waed should either move back to the country and keep her hands off the wheel or steer her comments elswhere.

Do you think Waed has a right to comment on women's rights in Saudi Arabia now that she lives in Lebanon?
