Actress Mariam Hussain - aka Queen Maryoum - was anything but a "queen" after being booed in London this week.
The controversial starlet was attending Yemeni singer Balqees' concert, when the latter thanked her for being there, only to have Balqees' thanks met with loud boos by her unimpressed audience.
What made this story funnier was Mariam tweeting that she was "the guest of honor - by special invite - at Balqees' concert," before thanking her 'sister' Balqees for all the music she sang for her.
كان لي الشرف اكون ضيفة شرف امس بحفلة بلقيس و فهد الكبيسي وشكرا بلقيس لي اعتبرها مثل اختي على ما غنته لنا good luck pic.twitter.com/z7RLIfYYIq

It's funny because Balqees later on tweeted denying inviting anyone to any of her concerts, adding that she isn't friends with anyone from the music industry or Arab showbiz.
"Important notice: Despite being a singer, I'm not friends with anyone in showbiz as I keep away from it as much as possible. I spend most of my time with my family and no one can get close enough to me to call me their 'sister,'" Balqees said in her first tweet.
"Whoever calls me their sister or friend is false," she wrote in a second tweet, clearly referring to Mariam referring to her as her "friend and sister."
She continued, "My concerts are public and anyone can attend, I've never invited anyone to any of my concerts." Ouch!
However, Mariam wasn't going to let Balqees get away with publicly humiliating her. Instead, she tweeted in response to her tweets, and if we're being honest, she made a good point!
"My parents taught me from a young age to thank those I'm visiting regardless of who they are and whether they deserve it or not," Mariam tweeted.
"I, Mariam Hussain, am not waiting for anyone, may they be an artist or not, to be my friend or anything else for that matter. I was raised to refer to others as my friends or sisters or brothers."
Then she brought religion into it...
"Islam taught us to be kind to one another, but unfortunately the world unmasks those who we've given more value to than what they really deserve."
Balqees, looks like you've messed with the wrong diva!
