The suspicions started when OSEN, a South Korean media site, revealed that the "Titanic" actress would play a minor part in the next season of the show. Despite the series' South Korean setting, the show's makers reportedly aim to include DiCaprio in the third season. Additionally, the story asserted that DiCaprio had covertly completed filming his 2024 sequences.
The creator of Squid Game says they would like to cast DiCaprio in the future.
After series creator Hwang Dong-hyuk had shown interest in casting DiCaprio in the series, the allegations acquired even more traction. "There won't be any well-known Hollywood actors in the second season, but if the situation changes, we might consider casting them for the third season," Dong-hyuk said at a press conference following the debut of the first season. Since DiCaprio is a huge admirer of the show, we might invite him to participate if the chance presents itself.
Lee Jung-Jae, who plays Seong Gi-hun in the series, also mentioned how much he would like to collaborate with Leonardo DiCaprio. The two celebrities posed for pictures together after meeting at the LACMA Art + Film Gala in Los Angeles. When asked which Hollywood star he would like to see in his popular series in 2022, Jung-jae brought up DiCaprio.
