ALBAWABA - Rumors emerged on social media claiming that Syrian actress, Toulin Al-Bakri was previously married to Maher Assad, brother of Syria's ousted President Bashar Assad.
The claim was widely circulated online following the collapse of the Assad regime on December 8 after the operation that was launched by the Syrian opposition led by Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham which is directed by Ahmed al-Sharaa, known as Abu Mohammed al-Julani.
Many social media users have been sharing the rumor that the well-known star Toulin Al-Bakri is the ex-wife of Maher Assad, a Syrian former military officer who served as commander of the Syrian Army's elite 4th Armoured Division.

In a statement, she considered that repeating such rumors is a systematic campaign against her by some people who want to harm her and distort her image, explaining that most pages circulate the news without verifying its accuracy, which caused her offense, insults and humiliation because of these rumors.
