Dance into the 70s
Located on 254 West 54th Street in Midtown Manhattan, between Eighth Avenue and Broadway, Studio 54 is a theatre patronised by the likes of Woody Allen, Elton John and Drew Barrymore. But during its youth in the 1970s, this venue was a glitzy gathering point for New York’s young and beautiful crowd. Director Matt Tyrauer captures its glamour and history in the eponymous documentary Studio 54, which is being screened at Cinema Akil this Saturday.

The Laughter Factory reboot
