ALBAWABA - With summer coming to an end, the fall anime season of 2023 is finally within our reach. This season will have a little something for everyone from the return of the iconic racing anime, Initial D to an interesting detective show from the creator of Psycho-Pass.
Summer had a lot to offer for anime fans including excellent series such as the second season of Jujutsu Kaisen, Mushoku Tensei ll, Zom 100, Horimiya Pieces, and of course, the second part of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War.

1) Spy × Family Season Two

The Forger family returns with their adorable dog, Bond.
Spy × Family tells the story of a master spy called Twilight who disguises himself as a psychiatrist called Loid Forger to fulfill his mission of investigating the corrupt politician Donovan Desmond.
To disguise himself fully, he is ordered by his organization to adopt a fake family of a child and wife. Not knowing much, he ends up adopting a psychic child called Anya and marries an assassin called Yor.

2) Goblin Slayer II

The vicious Goblin Slayer is back with a second season after five years!
It tells the story of an armored adventurer with a dark past who won't stop slaying goblins till he and his team of adventurers eradicate them all.
The goblins in this anime are known for being vicious, gruesome, and violent towards the human race, so follow the goblin slayer and his team on the journey of protecting humanity from them.

3) Sousou no Frieren (Frieren: Beyond Journey's End)

Studio Madhouse is back with Frieren: Beyond Journey's End!
This is not your typical fantasy anime, so what makes it so special? It follows the story of Frieren and her team who have already finished their journey of defeating the demon king.
All four of them meet together for the last time before disbanding to reminisce on their decade-long journey but the passing of time is different for elves, leaving Frieren to witness her companions slowly passing away one by one.
Before one of her friend's death, he leaves a human companion with her and they embark on an aimless journey of collecting a myriad of magic spells.
Expect Frieren: Beyond Journey's End! to premiere on Sep. 29, 2023, with a two-hour-long special!

4) Kamonohashi Ron no Kindan Suiri

An anime adaptation of a detective and mystery manga by the one and only Akira Amano, known for her iconic works including Reborn! and Psycho-Pass.
Kamonohashi Ron no Kindan Suiri will tell the story of a policeman who lacks what it takes to solve murders and help people.
He then follows the advice from his seniors to join and learn from Ron Kamonohashi who was considered a promising detective five years ago but to his surprise, Ron is now a messy-haired and uninhibited eccentric man.

5) Undead Unluck

A promising adaptation to Shonen Jump's Undead Unluck by David Production (Fire Force, Jojo).
After finishing reading her favorite manga, Fuuko Izumo feels ready to end her life because of her unfortunate condition that brings misfortune to anyone she touches including the death of her parents.
As she stands on top of a bridge with a train track underneath it to end her life, a man touches her by mistake causing him to fall and get run over by the train. She then finds out that his body is regenerating.

6) Tokyo Revengers: Tenjiku-hen

Tokyo Revengers is back with a third season animated by the same studio, LIDENFILMS.
It will pick up where season two ended but there is no synopsis of what the anime will cover at the time of writing this article.
It is scheduled to air on Oct. 3, 2023.

7) Pluto

One of the most iconic manga inspired by the 'godfather of manga', Osamu Tezuka's work is finally getting an anime adaptation from Netflix and Studio M2. You might know Osamu Tezuka best from his works such as Astro Boy and Dororo.
Pluto tells the story of a robotic Europol detective Gesicht who is sent to investigate the tragic death of the legendary Swiss robot Montblanc after getting murdered.
Pluto premiers on Netflix Oct. 26, 2023.

8) MF Ghost

The iconic Fujiwara Takumi from Initial D is back with the addition of a Eurobeat soundtrack.
MF Ghost is the successor of the legendary car racing anime, Initial D. It tells the story of Kanata Livington, a 19-year-old Japanese-British racer in the Year 202X, where self-driving and electric cars have replaced traditional internal combustion cars.
Despite what's happening in this world, a racing circuit that goes by the name of MFG employs traditional internal combustion car racers to compete with each other. The legendary drifter Fujiwara Takumi happens to be Kanata Livington's trainer.
We would love to see the return of the Toyota Sprinter Trueno AE86 as well!

9) Dr. Stone: New World Part 2

Follow Senkuu Ishigami and his team on their journey to sail the seas and reach the other side of the world to investigate the bizarre green light that hit the world turning all humans into statues.
Dr. Stone: New World Part 2 will be a direct sequel to Part 1 and will pick up from where it ended.

With everything going according to Kagenou Cid and Shadow Garden's plans, a red-haired vampire who has slumbered in her coffins for hundreds of years awakens. Could Cid finally face a worthy opponent and come out victorious or will he meet his demise?
