Syrian actor Taim Hasan is making a comeback to Syrian TV dramas in "Al Ikhwah" (The Brothers). Following a three-year absence from his native productions, Taim has started filming scenes for “The Brothers” early this month.
The show follows the story of five brothers, and tackles topics such as love, betrayal and the obsession with becoming rich.
But how does Taim feel about starring in a Syrian series again? The actor said that “he doesn’t find it a risky matter, as Arab audiences anxiously await new Syrian dramas every year.”
According to Laha Magazine, he added that Syrian dramas have left their mark on Arab homes over the years, and that he’s feeling pretty optimistic about what the future holds for them.
The five brothers will be played by Taim himself, in addition to fellow Syrian actors Qusai Khouli, Maksim Khalil and Qais El sheikh Najib.
According to Sayidaty.net, Taim will be playing the role of the eldest “brother,” who’s responsible for the financial well-being of his family; something that’s been imposed on him by his father. Throughout the turn of events, Taim's character falls in love in a moment of weakness, which leads to conflicts with his four brothers over betrayal, greed and loyalty.
The modern social drama is composed of 90 episodes and was written by Mohammad Abu Al Laban and Liwa Yazji, Elaph news reported.
On a different note, Taim expressed his pain over the tragedies taking place in Syria and said that he hopes for stability in his homeland once again. The patriot said that the differences in political opinions between Syrian celebs mustn’t stand in the way of their relationships together. Easier said than done my friend!
As for the heartthrob's personal life, Taim said that he’d like to remarry again, but will think twice before taking on that step, especially after his divorce from Syrian actress Dima Baya’ah.
The actor stated that despite his failed marriage to a fellow celeb, he doesn’t mind marrying from the entertainment world again if he were to find the right person, as long as the woman is not greedy, conceited and full of herself. Good luck with that dude!
