It was in 2008 that we learnt of the tragic death of Lebanese singer Suzan Tamim. The late singer was brutally murdered in Dubai by Egyptian businessman Hisham Talaat Moustafa.

Hisham, whose net worth was estimated at $800 million in 2007, was found guilty on May 21, 2009 for his involvement in the murder and was sentenced to 15 years in prison.

Now, news reports disclosed that Hisham has been released from prison and admitted, under strict surveillance, to the Egyptian Al Salam Al Dawli Hospital.

An Egyptian court stated that Hisham's health deteriorated at his time in prison, leading prison officials to transfer him to hospital.

According to Sayidaty.net, hospital staff were given strict orders by prison staff to forbid anyone from visiting Talaat or making any form of statement regarding his health condition to members of the press.

Furthermore, staff were warned not to allow any incoming or outgoing calls to the prisoner's room.

But if you were feeling an inkling of sadness for the accused, don't! Apparently, Hisham is receiving VIP treatment at the hospital and is even well enough to be joking around with hospital staff.

When will the convict return to prison? It's not yet been decided when Talaat will get discharged from hospital, as his lawyer Jamil Saeed claims that Hisham is "in need of hospitalization.”
