ALBAWABA - In the midst of a heated family battle, Brad Pitt's daughter has formally asked to have his surname removed.
On May 27, her 18th birthday, Shiloh—Pitt's third kid with ex-girlfriend Angelina Jolie—filed the necessary papers to change her legal name to Shiloh Jolie.

Vivienne, Zahara, and Maddox, the actor's three children, reportedly do not use Pitt's second name either.
Three adopted children, Maddox, 22, Pax, 20, and Zahara, 19, live with Jolie and Pitt in addition to their biological daughter Shiloh, who is 15, and twins Knox and Vivienne, who are 15 years old.
Following Brad's 2005 divorce from Jennifer Aniston and their appearance on Mr. and Mrs. Smith together, Angelina and Brad began dating.
The pair exchanged wedding vows in 2014, but Angelina filed for divorce in 2016 after what she said was an argument when they were traveling with their children. Since then, the two have been deeply involved in a protracted legal dispute.
When it comes to doing away with her dad's surname, Shiloh isn't the only one. Vivienne, her younger sister, was recently named "Vivienne Jolie" after she and her renowned mom co-produced the Broadway show The Outsiders.
At Spelman College's introduction ceremony, Zahara revealed her new sorority membership as Alpha Kappa Alpha and went by the name "Zahara Marley Jolie."
But it seems Shiloh has taken the initiative to alter her last name officially, ahead of her siblings.
Shiloh hopes to make her mark in the world not because of her famous parents but because of her own skill and perseverance, according to a source who talked with ET earlier this month.
