Poor Sherine Abdel Wahab!
After a picture of the Egyptian singer and Mohammad Assaf was posted on Facebook, Sherine has been getting death threats from a jealous Palestinian woman.
Assaf, the crooning Palestinian sweetheart and winner of Arab Idol, is clearly still a poster-boy for Palestinian women -- the picture of him and Sherine has been causing the green-eyed monster to rear its ugly head. According to Sayidaty.net, one woman warned Sherine in a comment that she would kill the Egyptian singer if she didn't stay away from Assaf.
The comment went on to say that Sherine better take her hands of Assaf as he is the commenter's favourite singer and that she has more right to the Arab Idol champ than Sherine because she is Palestinian.
Seems like airtight logic to us!
Sherine has taken the death threats in good humour though -- she jokingly told the press that she had not asked Assaf to marry her, despite media rumours that the two were set to tie the knot.
Now that Sherine has clarified her intentions with young Mr. Assaf, it seems that Palestinian girls can rest easy!
