Egyptian actress Sheren Reda has returned to TV for the first time in twenty years to play an Israeli woman in drama 'Al Saf' ah' (The Slap.)
Reda explained her twenty years away from the small screen by saying she simply had not found a role to interest her during that time, despite receiving numerous scripts in the post. She has also been spending the absense devoting her time to looking after her daughter.
The actress and first wife to Egyptian star Amr Diab, said she was very impressed with the story of the drama “Al Saf’ah”, particularly after hearing that it would co-star Sharif Munir.
Sheren will play the role of an Israeli woman who tries to track down an Egyptian spy. The star said that the drama will mark her true return to the small screen and the spotlight.
