Lebanese legendary singer Sabah is one sad diva after the passing of the 'Frank Sinatra of the Arab World', Wadih Al-safi.
The songstress said during an interview with the website Bisaraha, "My life and career companion is gone...gone. He was the mirror image of my soul and voice, the great Arab singer is gone, I swear he is a great loss. His voice is considered the most powerful and most important voice in the world. We were the first to sing the traditional Mawal, and we are the makers of the true Lebanese song and Halabi Mawal, which is the hardest form of singing in the Middle East."
Sabah revealed that she had recorded her first Lebanese song "Ya Huwaida Lak" in the fifties and six months later, Wadih recorded his popular song "Ala Al Luma". Both songs were the most popular throughout the Arab worlds.
According to Laha Magazine, Sabah said, "How I loved him, and when I am alone he is the only singer I listen to in addition to the late singer Suad Mohammad." She added, "He had defeated me by dying before me. With Wadih's death we have lost so much."
Sabah is one of many celebs expressing great sorrow over the songster’s passing. She noted this loss will pain her to her last breath.
