It was a sad day for the Arabic music industry on Friday, as fans and celebrities mourned the death of legendary Lebanese singer Wadih Al Safi.

Al Safi, 91, died at Bellevue Medical Center in al-Metn's neighborhood of al-Mansourieh, al-Jadeed television reported.

In an exclusive interview with Laha Magazine, Lebanese singer Haifa Wehbe spoke of her extreme grief over Wadih's death.

Haifa said that his death is a big loss to Lebanese people and Arabs alike.

“He was a pride to all Lebanese and his long prestigious history makes up a big part of Lebanese heritage.”

Haifa added: “He cannot be compared with anyone, not even the great singers of the Arab world. May God give patience to his family and all Lebanese and help them get through their grief.”

The starlet revealed that her favorite song by Wadih is “Ya Ibni” (My Son).

Laha Magazine had met with Haifa at the Cavalli Cafe where she was dining and looking as elegant and beautiful as ever. Known for her love for posing and pouting, when one fan approached her to have their picture taken with her, she happily and kindly approved.
