ALBAWABA - Ryan Reynolds and his wife Blake Lively have donated $1 million to US humanitarian efforts.

In the aftermath of the immense destruction that Hurricanes Helen and Milton have wrought over the course of the previous two weeks,

Blake and Ryan, who reportedly have a combined net worth of $380 million, contributed $1 million to the United States Disaster Relief Fund, a charitable organization, on Thursday. This donation comes only one day after their friend Taylor Swift contributed $5 million to the fundraising effort.

Rebuilding and recovering from the damage to their property will be made easier for those who have been impacted by the disasters, thanks to the money.

Additionally, the funds will assist food banks in meeting vital requirements such as providing water, food, and supplies to communities that have suffered a catastrophic loss.

Claire Babineau-Fontenot, the chief executive officer of the charitable organization, expressed her gratitude to the pair for their assistance, stating that "Blake and Ryan's support has had a tremendous impact on communities nationwide."

Additionally, they have the hope that their action will motivate others to join them in contributing to the cause.

In October of last year, Ryan and his wife Blake gifted a million dollars to the International Committee of the Red Cross. Ryan and Blake are well-known for their consistent contributions to a variety of charitable organizations.

Not only were they among the numerous celebrities who contributed to the SAG-AFTRA Foundation during the strike of actors, but they also contributed one million dollars to charitable organizations and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) during the COVID epidemic.
