ALBAWABA - Taylor Swift has donated a substantial amount to aid those impacted by Hurricanes Helen and Milton as they approach the Gulf Coast of Florida.

Feeding America CEO Claire Babineau-Fontenot said on the organization's Instagram page that they are "extremely grateful" for Swift's $5 million gift to storm relief efforts.

"This contribution will help communities rebuild and recover, providing essential food, clean water, and supplies to those impacted by these devastating storms," the message continued.

"Together, we can make a real impact in supporting families as they navigate the challenges ahead," said Claire, who thanked the "Blank Space" singer for "standing with us to end hunger and help communities in need."

The offer comes as Hurricane Milton approaches Florida, where many meteorologists predict it will be one of the most damaging hurricanes ever to impact the area.

Just two weeks ago, Hurricane Helen made landfall in Florida as a Category 4 hurricane, leaving a 500-mile swath of devastation over six states, triggering devastating floods and killing more than 230 people.

Storm Helen is the second-deadliest storm to strike the continental United States in the last 50 years, after only Hurricane Katrina almost two decades earlier.

Swift has joined Dolly Parton in contributing to hurricane relief efforts. Parton announced on Friday that she, her companies (Dollywood Parks & Resorts, The Dollywood Foundation, Dolly Parton's Stampede and Pirates Voyage, and Walmart) are providing flood relief throughout the Appalachian region.

She has also personally pledged a $1 million donation to the Mountain Ways Foundation, a registered charitable organization dedicated to providing immediate relief to Helen flood victims, and several of Dolly's businesses listed above are pooling their resources to match her donation with an additional $1 million.
