Coincidence has brought two former rivals Jordanian singer Diana Karazon and Lebanese singer Milhim Zein together at a famous Lebanese hair salon, where Milhim had gone to get a haircut at the same time Diana wanted to have a new hairstyle made. To add to the odd coincidence, one of the television satellite channels was present at the salon in order to hold an interview with Milhim and the broadcaster, Rabi’a Al Zaiat, took advantage of the moment and requested to hold a joint interview with both singers.
According to the London based, Elaph, Milhim was at first hesitant about the idea, but then agreed to hold the interview. Diana acted in a very natural way with Milhim and sang her hit song “Insani Ma Bansak” (Forget Me I Won’t Forget You) while Milhim sang a song for Egyptian singer Hisham Abbas.
The elimination of Milhim Zein from the Lebanese satellite channel Future television most popular show Superstar had caused a great chaos to breakout in Lebanon and other areas around the Arab world. Viewers refused to accept that Milhim was voted out of the contest, especially since he was the one whom everyone thought would was most suited for the title and would surely win, but on the final episode the winner was Diana.
Karazone will head to London to participate in the contest “World Idol”, which will be the first time it is held and where many superstar winners from around the world will compete to win for the grand title. Diana was chosen among 11 participants from the Arab world to represent the entire Middle East region. Diana will be the only contestant in the contest to sing one of her own person son “Insani Ma Bansak” (Forget Me I Won’t Forget You). The contest will feature participants from 11 different countries around the world.
The first album for Karazone has so far witnessed tremendous success around the Arab world and specifically in Lebanon after the huge advertising campaign that was held by her production company. In Jordan the singer’s album was faced with pirating causing the number of sales to be not as high as expected.
Diana signed the release of her first album “Diana Karazone Arab Superstar” under the production of Warner Music and Music Master International on September 30, 2003 in Beirut at Virgin Mega Stores. A special celebration was arranged for the big event, which witnessed a very large audience all anxiously waiting for Diana to sing. –Albawaba.com
