Ramadan TV was an intense one this year, filled with the most fabulous, dramatic, shocking and exciting dramas to date. Renowned Syrian actor Jamal Suliman and Egyptian actress Rania Farid Shawki gave us their best performances in the Egyptian drama “Noktet Da'ef” (Weak Point).
The drama was considered a very emotional one, filled with deep feelings of individuals seeking happiness in their lives. They (individuals) sometimes got so close to reaching that point of happiness but then strayed far away form it either due to circumstances or because of their own mistakes.
Jamal and Rania spoke about their experiences on the show and of how fond of one another they both are.
According to Sayidaty.net, Jamal said that it was a very pleasant experience working alongside Rania. He said that they'd spend hours laughing while filming and that while they worked for long hours in the day together, they had a mutual understanding regarding the way the work should be done, which turned it into a great success.
The actor described his fellow colleague as “sensitive” and as a great actress who truly loves what she does and always strives to do better. Jamal thinks that she got her passion for acting from her late father Farid Shawki, who was a huge acting star in Egypt.
Jamal revealed that he currently lives in Egypt with his wife and son due to the dangerous conditions in Syria and the fact that he and his family received numerous death threats because of their opposition to the government of President Bashar Al Assad. He insisted that he will one day return to a free and stable Syria.
As for Rania herself, she said that working with Jamal was a turning point in her career. She described him as down to earth, kind and someone who respects everyone he works with.
Although Rania did tremendously well in her part in Weak Point, she admitted that she was very anxious about her role because it was that of a kind and gentle woman, which differs tremendously from previous roles she played of the dominate and somewhat evil woman. Rania noted that the drama was a romantic one that relied on expressing strong feelings of affection, specifically those of a mother's and a woman's.
But when it comes to her personal life, the divorcee said that she isn't yet ready to remarry after her divorce from Egyptian actor Mustafa Fahmi, as what she looks forward to now is a quiet and peaceful life focused around her career.
