Egyptian actress Poussy, wife of Egyptian actor Nour El Sherif, was nominated to star in an international joint film between Egypt and Austria. The actress will be starring along side an international Austrian actor in the film, which is written by Mr. Yasin.
The scenes of the film are scheduled to take place between Egypt and Austria, and will open the gateway for the Egyptian cinema to reach international acknowledgment on a larger scale, reported the Qatar based daily, Al Raya.
Recently, Poussy was haunted once more with the rumors of her separation from her husband and her intention of quitting her acting career. The actress stressed that these rumors keep reoccurring every once in a while, and hold no truth to them.
Poussy noted that she and her husband Nour are as close as they ever were and their family means the world to them. The actress added that she is in the peak of her acting career and throwing all that away is impossible at the time. Poussy has made it a point not to mix her personal life with her work, adding that despite her busy schedule of taking part in a number of acting jobs, she has special time just for her family and allows nothing to get in the way.
After removing the cast off her broken arm, Poussy returned to the filming studios to begin shooting scenes for her upcoming TV series "Thunoob Al Abria" (Sins of the Innocents). Poussy revealed that her role in the drama required she spend three week in a mental institution to study the conditions of mentally disturbed patients suffering from manic depressions.
Poussy’s latest work is “Emraa Men Nar” (A woman of Fire) directed by Tawfiq Hamza. She plays a kindhearted woman who inherits a large fortune that transforms her into a cruel and gready woman. Poussy had also co-starred with Hisham Abd El Hamid in “Han Al Aan Maw'edoh” (The Time has Come) film, written by Mohamed Seada and directed by Hany Lashin, starring Abd El Moniem Madbouly, Hassan Kamy, Alaa Morsy and Heba Kamel. The film revolves around the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Poussy is the sister of actress Noura. Who was born as Serfenaz Moustafa Qadry. Poussy started her acting career working in films and on stage. The actress comes from a long line of aristocracy. Her grandmother is one of the Turkish aristocrats who moved to Egypt in the middle of the last century. – Albawaba.com
