Egyptian actress Nuha Al Amroosi and nine of her friends were arrested on Sunday morning for the possession and use of drugs.
The arrest took place at the actress’s friend’s papyri store, which is owned by a film director, and which he regularly uses to sell drugs undercover to his addicted customers.
Nuha and her friends were also caught with large amounts of alcohol, heroin and marijuana, in addition to $1,400 in cash, reported Al Ahram.
According to Elaph news, the accused will remain in jail for four days until an extensive investigation has been completed.
Nuha will now be questioned by detectives, until she’s either given a jail sentenced or released on bail.
Nuha's last TV appearance was in "Hekayet Hayat" (Hayat's Story) last Ramadan, alongside Egyptian actress Ghada Abdel Razek. In the drama, she played the role of a spoiled rich woman who commits adultery and betrays her husband with numerous men.
