Syrian actress Norman Asaad and her husband, Syrian director Adnan Ibrahim, announced they intend on establishing their own production company. Hence, neither will enter into any new agreements with other production companies. The couple began reading different television drama scripts and decided their first production will be the drama “Siraj Al Lail” (Night Lantern).
The plot of the drama, written by Ahmad Hamed, revolves around the disparity between urban and rural life, according to the Qatar based daily, Al Bayan. Asaad will play the leading role of a simple village woman who spends her days planting and taking care of her family.
The shocking murder of her husband forces her to leave her simple life behind and embark on a quest seeking revenge for her husband’s murder, inevitably leading her to an urban landscape.
