Egyptian actress Noorhan announced that she will temporarily step away from acting in anticipation of the birth of her first child. The actress revealed that since becoming pregnant seven months ago, she made a point to stay away from the scenes, not wanting to jeopardize the well-being of her baby by over exhausting herself.
Noorhan explained that her disappearance from the spotlight, led to rumors of her resignation and wearing of the Hijab, the Islamic headdress. According to the UAE based daily, Al Bayan, Noorhan stanoted that she received several film offers but declined due to the similarity of the roles to those she played in the past.
The actress elucidated that while refraining from acting she is busy working on translating a number of English novels that are suitable to be turned into Arabic television dramas. Once Noorhan has completed the translation and the creation of the scripts, she will present them to a number of producers and directors as new projects in which she intends on starring.
The actress, who married poet Ibrahim Abd Al Fatah last year, stressed that she will not allow her career to interfere with her personal life or affect it in any way. Noorhan announced her marriage to Ibrahim after a three-year love affair, and explained that the love and romance between them could only end in marriage.
