Egyptian singer Mustafa Amar has chosen a screenplay, written by Zeinab Aziz, for his upcoming film, “Issabit El Dactor Omar” (Dr. Omar’s Gang). The film is to be directed by Ali Idrees and Mustafa, the same charismatic duo that produced the film “Hareem Kareem” (Kareem’s Woman).
Egyptian actor Hannan Turk has been nominated for the leading role alongside Mustafa. Hannan has yet to give her approval for the role, stating that she wants to review the script carefully before making her final decision.
Filming of the first scenes is scheduled to begin in February 2006.
Production Company ‘Rotana’ has begun screening “Hareem Kareem” in Gulf countries, starting with a welcoming ceremony at the ‘Media Production City’ in Dubai, including Mustafa and the general manager of cinema production at ‘Rotana,’ Ayman Halawani.
The romantic comedy enjoyed tremendous success during its first week of screening in Egypt. After receiving numerous requests, ‘Rotana’ decided to screen the film in Gulf countries, including Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and the UAE.
